Duties:
- Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing - Assign appropriate codes using ICD-10 and HCPCS coding systems - Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and eligibility for services - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies - Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of medical information - Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain missing or incomplete documentation - Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical office - Proficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health record systems - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnosis codes - Familiarity with insurance claim submission processes and reimbursement guidelines - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies Note:
