A large part of the job is dealing with people and resource management.
You may also be involved with the management of product manufacturing.
Throughout the production flow, you will be faced with assembly, personnel, fabrication , quality and scheduling aspects which will require you to make adjustments to the labor resources.
On a daily basis progress will be discussed and managed in unison with the remaining management team.
Co-ordination of raw materials needing to be sent to sub-suppliers for machining or coating will need to be arranged/coordinated.
Proven track record of managing people in a production setting whereby you have dealt with multiple areas of production.
Welding back-ground is not essential, but surely an asset.
People management and communication skills are of utmost importance.
Production manager having overseen crew of production workers Ability to plan production requirements Welding background not mandatory, but a clear asset Detailed knowledge of production planning Safety conscious and aware of OSHA requirements Computer literate(Word, Excel, E-mail, AutoCAD) Clear communication skills Minimum of 2-year Associate's or college degree or equivalent experience.
