We are growing and are excited to add an HR and Accounting Assistant to our team! This role is onsite and will generally work an 8-9 hour day.
Our manufacturing plants operate 24/7 so several times a month, the person in this role will have to adjust their start/end times to attend business meetings and provide HR support for employees on the overnight shifts.
For example, a 5am start time or start later in the morning and stay until 8pm.
The Director of HR will work with you to plan the schedule.
In addition, occasional after-hours availability via phone/email may be needed to support Managers/Supervisors.
Prior experience in Human Resources and/or Accounting, working onsite, and having flexible working hours are all required for this role.
Under the supervision of VP of Finance & HR, the Accounting/HR Assistant is responsible for assisting with the daily accounting and human resources needs of the organization.
These include, but are not limited to, processing bills for accounts payable, issuing invoices, making collections, assisting with timecard approvals using the Paycom software with Time and Labor, and assisting with benefits administration.
Other tasks will be assigned as needed and appropriate.
This position reports to the Plant General Manager.
The Accounting/HR Assistant strives to provide exemplary customer service to internal and external customers while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
HR
Responsibilities:
Follow all company Safety/GMP policies, programs and protocols.
Assist in gathering training documents for audits Support and communicate all safety documents, updates and trainings to employees As needed, organize/attend recruitment related events and coordinate efforts of employment agencies.
For Phoenixville plant, conduct new hire orientations and ensure training checklists are completed.
Work with managers to facilitate a coordinated onboarding process.
Coordinate with external partners for OJT training funds.
Communicate various human resource programs, policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations to employees Respond in a timely manner to inquiries and take the opportunity to increase the level of employees' understanding by coaching where appropriate.
Administer workers comp, leaves of absence and accommodation programs for the Phoenixville plant, including FMLA/ADA/STD/LTD/other LOAs, from consulting with employees and managers on requests, to collecting accident investigation information, to timely correspondence and coordination of documentation with all parties (employees, doctors, vendors, etc.
) through return to work, light duty and/or accommodations.
Conduct exit interviews with a focus on identifying reasons for leaving.
Provide feedback and recommendations to management.
Analyzes turnover data and recommends action plans to address patterns and trends.
Assist with the exit process.
Partner with the HR Coordinator on employee programs such as service awards, benefits & wellness, general communication, employee meetings and activities, Global store, shirt orders, etc.
Occasional travel to other plants may be necessary but rare.
Accounting
Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of strongly related HR or accounting experience at the professional level Prior experience in a multi-shift, non-union manufacturing environment is a plus.
Must be able to work onsite 100% of the time.
Bilingual English/Spanish, fluently speaking, reading, writing and translating, is preferred Must be able to work flexible hours (which can be scheduled in advance) Prior experience managing leave of absence programs is highly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is preferred.
PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
Solid knowledge of HR practices as well as federal and state employment/labor laws and regulations, especially around leaves of absence.
Computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with HRIS and payroll software programs (Paycom a plus).
Present a professional demeanor, with ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information is an absolute must.
Excellent planning and organization skills to effectively handle multiple priorities, with attention to detail, high level of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
Capable of working independently and taking the initiative to resolve issues in a timely manner and ask for help when needed.
Ability to evaluate and improve processes.
Dependable, consistently at work on time, responds to direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
Able to build and maintain effective work relationships with diverse groups at all levels within the Company; willing to be visible to all employee groups on all shifts.
