TIC ? The Industrial Company is seeking Electrician Foreman.
Position Summary: Direct and supervise the planning, lay-out, installation, testing and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. Plan and coordinate the efforts of the leadmen and craft workers under his/her supervision and motivate them to accomplish the work safely, correctly and efficiently. Work with or supervise other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision.
Essential Functions:
1. Use effective verbal and written communication skills. Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions rapidly and accurately.
2. Plan, diagram and lay-out for electrician's work.
3. Read and understand plans and specifications, including one line diagrams, cable and conduit schedules, ladder diagrams, and loop diagrams. Visualize two dimensional drawings in three dimensions.
4. With regard to that portion of the work assigned, develop complete understanding of contract plans and specifications; and plans, lay-out, installation and/or repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment in accordance with those plans and specifications.
5. Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
6. Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the NEC, contract plans and specifications, and point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.
7. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
8. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
9. Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
10. Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
11. Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility.
12. Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
13. Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
14. Be able to perform all of the essential functions of craft workers under his/her supervision. Perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out all aspects of that work assigned. Train/teach safety practices, policies and procedures related to an employee's assigned tasks. Gain a complete understanding of the scope of work and the related parts of the project. Develop a thorough understanding of the project plans, specifications and schedule as they relate to that portion of the work assigned. Conduct tool box meetings and communicate safety concerns, work scope, plans and schedules to the leadmen and crews.. Plan and communicate with the warehouse, purchasing and supervisor to assure that an adequate supply of tools, materials and equipment are available. Ensure through personal inspections that correct construction procedures are followed and work is in compliance with the plans and specifications. Ensure that electricians are qualified to perform their work. Review crew's timeeards for correct hours and phase coding. Monitor and report quantities of work accomplished on a daily/weekly basis. Provide on-the-job training to those individuals under his/her supervision. Complete performance reviews of leadmen and craft workers. In addition, perform other job specific duties and have a basic understanding of the scheduling, material control and unit manhour performance management systems.
15. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
16. Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices (i.e. back-up alarms, smell of smoke, different colored warning tags, warning sirens).
17. Understand and implement lockout/tagout procedures in a safe manner.
18. Produce quality work, meeting requirements of NEC plans, specifications and industry standards.
19. Be motivated and work productively.
20. Perform all other job related duties as requested by supervisor.
21. Perform all other actions necessary to accomplish the foregoing essential job functions.
22. Coordinate work with other crafts and co-workers on the job.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Formal Training:
+ Must be a highly qualified journeyman electrician with working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
+ Should have all necessary licenses for the jurisdiction in which the work is to be performed.
+ Must set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality and productivity for the members of his/her crew.
+ In addition, must have all necessary tools (see Electrician tool list).
Working Environment:
+ Ability to work in conditions common to a construction site including but not limited to rain, sleet, snow, dust, mud, heat, sun, cold, noise.
+ Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays.
+ Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift.
Physical Demands:
+ Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
+ Climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
+ Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Possess full range of motion and flexibility.
+ The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
